Welcome to DUTCH DESIGN YEAR! We are a new designstore in the centre of Eindhoven, started by designer Marleen Kurvers in October 2011 during the Dutch Design Week. The store shows the products of (young) talented, mainly Dutch designers alongside with some highlights of the Dutch Design Week during the year. Some designers that will show their work are David Derksen, Ontwerpduo, Paul Heijnen, Elisa Strozyk, Dirk van der Kooij and Sjoerd Jonkers. The store also sells some products of for example Ngispen and HAY and some very nice vintage design products.

In the back of the store we have a beautiful wall and desk made of industrial piles of wood from the iron industry. The products of the designers have a connection to the interior. The store wants to give the public new ideas and combinations with the products and materials that were used. For example sustainable materials, like recycled plastics and fabrics.

The collection will change constantly, giving customers many ideas and updates about contemporary design. We will start at the end of february 2012 with a designers’ Meet and Greet- so we hope to see you in the store and have a talk with the designers about their work, inspirations, food and life….

The store is a part of the Smalle Haven, a platform where food, design, exhibitions and shopping come together. For more information check www.smallehaven.com
