Cleo Maxime has created a series of objects inspired by traditional food preservation methods that predate the introduction of refrigeration. She is inspired by how we value our food and how this has changed over time. The collection include a cheese box made from translucent rubber that features a place for sugar to regulate humidity and prevent the cheese from spoiling. An apple-trivet is inspired by traditional apple racks that kept apples apart, increasing shelf-life and a glass item to preserve lemons; with a thin layer of vinegar, leftover halves placed on top stay good for another week. With this contemporary series of kitchen products Cleo Maxime wants to create awareness, educate and increase the value of our food. She sees her projects as a 3D documentation of the knowledge and valvues on food, which are otherwise disappearing.

The start for the lamp of German designer Sebastian Goldschmidtboeing was his interest in light and the natural dialogue it has with its environment. He wanted to design a lamp that was more open and corresponding to its user, a lamp that suggests a dialogue and triggers to be used, always appreciating to be a source of light. The result is a metal half-bowl, placed on the ground and containing a source of light. The closing surface provides protection to the open sphere. From the middle a metal beam reaches out and catches the attention. Asking for a contact it triggers to be touched. With this touch, the intensity of the light can be manipulated.
